Types of an Air Purifier

HEPA

HEPA is short for high-efficiency particulate air. This is a technology used for many years. Human eyes can see 10 microns in size but they can filter 0.3-micron size too. It sucks the air in the room to retain the particles. Then the air passes through many filters that retain the different pollutants in the air. This type of purifier is one of the best purifiers as it does not have any bad impact on our health.

HEPA

Activates Carbon Filter

It destroys the bad smell/ odor from the room. It has activated carbon beads that filter or strain the air and eliminate toxic gases like a bad smell, ammonia vapor, etc. It is also used to eliminate the excessive Ozon quantity in the air.

Ioniser Air Purifier

This kind of Air purifier does not use any filter. Instead of a filter it uses negatively emit charged ions. These emit charged ions then combined with carbon particles and make them heavy so that they cannot fly in the air and fall on the ground or surface. Its main disadvantage is that all the contaminated particles fall down on the ground and you have to clean them manually.

Ioniser Air Purifier

UV light Air Purifier

It uses short-wave Ultraviolet light to eliminate airborne germs, bacteria, and viruses and sanitize the room. This method is taken from the hospital that uses UV light to disinfect the patient’s room. It is a small and compact device.

UV light air purifier

Electronic Air Purifier

It is a solution for the whole home to destroy airborne diseases. It works with an air-conditioner to charge and trap airborne particles. It is 99.9% effective against airborne diseases. It uses HEPA technology and positively charged ions. As You know that HEPA can destroy 0.3-micron particles too, so the remaining particles trap by positively charged ions. If you want to buy an air purifier that destroys 99.9% of germs, dust particles, bacteria, viruses, and smoke then the best option to go with is an Electronic air cleaner.

Summary

Research shows that filtering the air, removes very harmful particles from the home like smoke, virus, bacteria, etc.  Lack of ventilation has increased the demand for it. It is helpful for asthma patients but never stop taking medication if u start using an air purifier. Always consult your doctor first. Nowadays all types of air purifiers come in one purifier itself for greater performance.
